Woodrow Wilson "Woody" Burns, Jr., 57, of Nichols, SC, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016. He was born in Fresno, California, a son of the late Margie Featherston and Woodrow Wilson Burns, Sr. Woody served his country in the US Air Force as a Power Production Specialist. He also worked as a Power Plant Equipment operator at Phelps Dodge Copper in San Manuel, AZ and a shop foreman at Foothill Grounds Inc. in Tucson, AZ. He also worked for Dillion Tractor and Implement for the last 10 years as a CASE IH Certified Master Technician on Agriculture and Diesel Equipment. He was a long time member of Wannamaker Baptist Church in Nichols. Woody was an avid elk hunter. He was patriotic, humble and quiet, hard-working, strong and loved classic country music, his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Stacianna "Stacey" Cox Burns; a sister, Janet Morales of Claypool, AZ; step-daughter, Casey England of Anderson, SC ; brother and sister-in-law, James and Sherry Flowers of Nichols; two grandchildren, both of Nichols; four nieces, one nephew, four grand-nieces and five grand nephews, all of SC and AZ. A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Wannamaker Baptist Church, 3985 Duford Road, Nichols, SC 29581. The family will receive friends at the church from 3 until 4 PM, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an account set up at Anderson Brothers Bank in Mullins, SC, for his grandchildren, Amber England and Mason Roberts, c/o Stacianna Burns.
