Willie Joe Powell, 77, of Johnsonville , SC. Slept away peacefully on April 21,2025.  Mr. Powell was born and raised in Lake City, SC. But relocated to Pompano Beach, FL. As a young man. He was an extremely hard working laborer for many years, before his retirement, with Collin's Irrigation & Landscaping, gaining a reputation for pioneering an great amount  of South Florida's sprinkler systems, for over 2 decades. His work ethic was unmatched and allowed him to gain an incredible amount of customers, colleagues, and ultimately friends.  His favorite hobby included fishing, which he did daily with his children and friends.  He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by his siblings: Trellis Powell,  Leroy Powell, and Randolph Powell. Parents: Lillie Mae Brown Powell and Willie James Powell. Surviving children is Samona Patricia Powell, his grandchildren Zaria Dew, Patrick Dew Jr. and Niles Thomas, and a great-granddaughter Amara Mangum.  Surviving Siblings; Rosa Dell Barr (Daniel Barr), Maxine Brown, Sylvia Thorne (Curtis) Patrica Powell, and Johnny Brown. A celebration of life service will be held May 2, 2025 at 12:00 pm location to be determined.  Cain Calcutt is honored to serve the Powell family.
