William S. "Billy" Calcutt, Sr., 75, of Florence, SC, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018.  Billy was born in Florence, Co, a son of the late Luther James and Thelma Collins Calcutt.  He graduated from Hanna-Pamplico High School and served his country in the US Army as a Staff SGT, during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Silver Star.  He retired as an Insurance Agent from various companies throughout his 25 year career.  Billy was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church and was an avid golfer.

He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by his brother, James L. "Buddy" Calcutt.

Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Elizabeth Reagin Calcutt, two sons, William Calcutt, Jr. and Andrew Calcutt; sisters, Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Calcutt and Faye C. (Wayne) Gibbs; brothers, Willie Joe (Peggy) Calcutt, Bobby G. (Sue) Calcutt, G. Charles (Renea) Calcutt, Jakie O. (Carolyn) Calcutt, Luther Ray (Brenda) Calcutt, Randall L. (Alice) Calcutt; a sisters-in law, Joan Calcutt and Jean M. (Adin) Putnam; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Greenwood Baptist Church directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.  Burial, with military honors, will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 1, 2018 in the Florence National Cemetery.
