A memorial service for Mr. William Harrison (BR) Rogers, husband of Carol Monkus Rogers, will be at 4:00 PM, Wednesday November 25, 2009, in Tans Bay Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Tim Carter. Memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC. 29502. Mr. Rogers, 66, died Tuesday November 23, 2009, at his residence. He was born, January 10, 1943 in Florence, to the late James L and Evie Sellers Rogers. Mr. Rogers was a truck driver and dispatcher for Gaines Motor Lines and later Moree Trucking in Society Hill. He served in the National Guard and was a Mason and Shriner. He attended Abundant Life Church as long as he was able. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: son, William H. Rogers Jr. of Florence, SC and Christopher Rogers of NV; grandchildren, Clara and Will Rogers; brothers, Jimmy Rogers and Bobby Rogers both of Florence; sisters, Jean Gregg and Betty (Wayne) Bazen both of Florence and several nieces and nephews.
