William Lester "BJ" Freeman, II, 44, of Florence, SC, a beloved son, little big brother and uncle, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025.  BJ was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late William "Bill" Lester and Alice Miller Freeman.  He graduated from West Florence High School and could always be seen helping at his second home, A&B Florist, the family business.  BJ loved his friends, often stopping and helping them with tasks they were doing or just to chit chat.  All his life he had an old soul, watching classic tv shows, movies or wrestling matches, in which he was able to quote many of the characters.  BJ loved music, having ranged from metal to rap, to most recently Jazz. His former canine companion Frisky was very special to him and everyone who knew him knew his momma was everything to him.

Surviving are his siblings, Dexter (Teri) Stone of Clinton, NC, Jodie (Conrad) Seastrunk and Leslie (Chris) Carpenter, both of Florence; nieces and nephews, Paul (Kelli) Stone, Eric (Chloe)Seastrunk, Jenna Seastrunk, Willow Carpenter, and Flynn Carpenter; great niece, Mia Lynn Stone; aunt, Patti (Denny) Perry of Hemingway; a number of extended family members and special friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 17, 2025, in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home with burial to follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM just prior to the service.
