Pamplico, SC Willard "Will" Norton Haselden, Jr., 46, of Pamplico, S.C., died Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. after a battle with ALS. He was born in Marion, S.C., son of the late Willard Norton Haselden, Sr. and Nellie Matthews Hyman. Will was a pipefitter by trade. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved being on the river. Will is survived by his wife, Marlana "Martie" DeWitt Haselden of Pamplico, S.C.; his grandfather, Robert Matthews of Johnsonville; sister and brother in law, Tressi and John Kibe of Kenya, Africa; brother, Robbie Hyman of Columbia; stepsons, Whitman Tanguay and Nicholas (Ashley) Tanguay of Pamplico, Nicholas Frost and Corey Taylor of Johnsonville and Derek Harrington of Hemingway; granddaughter Laisey Tanguay of Pamplico; nieces Naomi and Taesha Kibe of Kenya, Africa; nephews Mordecai and Jemar Kibe of Kenya, Africa; his Mother in law, Diane D. Evans of the home; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Will was predeceased by his mother and stepfather, Nellie M. and David Hyman of Johnsonville; his father, Willard Haselden, Sr. of Conway; a son, Phillip James Haselden of Johnsonville; maternal grandmother, Nellie Tedder Matthews of Johnsonville, and paternal grandparents, Arnold and Ida Haselden. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Cain Funeral Home in the chapel.
