Wayne Thomas Hicks, 61, of Florence, S.C., died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. He was born in Darlington, S.C., a son of the late Thomas and Opal Catoe Hicks. He is predeceased by his parents and a brother, Dennis Hicks. Wayne is survived by his wife, Donna Collins Hicks of Florence, S.C.; one daughter, Amy Hicks of Florence, S.C.; four sons, Thomas Hicks, Caleb Hicks, Matthew Hicks, all of Florence, S.C. and Chris Hicks of Darlington, S.C.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother and special friend, Frank Hicks of Florence, S.C.; one sister, Karen Ann McCants of Malaysia and two special friends, George McLaughlin and Bobby Rose. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Coward Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
