A funeral service for Wanda Perdenia Owens, widow of Cassius Wolpers and Darrell Owens will be at 2:00PM Tuesday November 17, 2009 in the Chapel of Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum conducted by Rev. Doyle Jones. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at the Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Oakdale Baptist Church, 3760 Southborough Rd, Florence, SC. 29501. Mrs. Owens, 85, died November 15, 2009, in McLeod Hospice House. She was born, August 12, 1924 in Oran, MO, to the late Jessie Monroe and Ola Senciboy Cruse. She was also predeceased by a sister, Doris Miller. Mrs. Owens was a meat cutter and store manager in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She then worked for Caterpillar in Morton and Mossville, IL, retiring in 1989. Surviving are: daughters, Jennifer (Bob) Proffer and Jeanne (Frank) Whitman both of Florence and Jerretta Cuneo of Kansas City, MO; son, Stephen (Carole) Wolpers OF Morton, IL; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Mary (Don) Fritz of Brandon, FL; .
