A memorial mass for Walter Maurice Stickell, husband of Ursola Simpson Stickell, will be at a later date. Mr. Stickell, 71, died May 20, 2010, in a local hospice. He was born October 29, 1938 in Washington, DC, to the late Oscar Walter and Mary Dorothy Dix Stickell. He was an asbestos worker with Local 24 in Washington, DC. He loved cats and was a street drive hot rod builder. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: sons, William Leslie Stickell of Chesapeake Beach, MD and Walter M. Stickell Jr. of Huntington, MD; daughters, Mary Margaret Stickell of Chesapeake Beach, MD and Kimberly Ann Whittington of Owings, MD; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; step-sons, James D. Whitall of Huntington, MD, William A. Whitall Jr. of PA and Robert Thomas Leeper of Bolivar, OH; 5 step-grandchildren; brother, Carroll E. Stickell of Leonardtown, MD.
