Walter Jackson "Jack" Hall, beloved husband of forty-four years of Letty Moore Hall of Florence, South Carolina, entered into heaven on December 8, 2011. Jack was born on January 6, 1938 in Amonata, Virginia. He was the son of the late James Oakley Hall and Clyda Bird Hall. Jack attended Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia and graduated from Morris Harvey College, which is now the University of Charleston, West Virginia. After graduation, Jack served in the United States Navy. Jack was a Regional and District Sales Manager for Kraft Foods, retiring after a distinguished career of thirty-four years with the company, where he was well remembered as a true southern gentleman. Jack is survived by his wife, Letty, and daughter, Whitney Moore Hall Rawls (Neil) of Atlanta, Georgia, brother, Clyde Whitley Hall (Phyllis) of West Windsor, New Jersey, and sisters-in-law, Trudy Hall of Lakeland, Florida, Peggy Summerford (Doug), of Florence, South Carolina, Judy Alexander (Lurie) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, nieces and nephews and precious friends, Linda and Chuck Cox of Columbia. A private graveside service will be held Sunday, December 11 at 2:00 PM at the McClam Family Cemetery in Lake City, South Carolina, and will be conducted by nephew, Doug Summerford of Florence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
