A funeral service for Mr. Wallace Don Sheriff, husband of Janie Wilson Sheriff, will be at, 11:00AM Tuesday April 28, 2009, in Cain Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Glen Garver. Interment will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, near Gresham, SC. The family will receive friends tonight from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Mr. Sheriff, 83, has entered into eternal rest with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday April 25, 2009, in McLeod Hospice House. He was born in Easley, SC, to the late Sheldon F. and Jenny Alexander Sheriff. He was a graduate of Spartanburg Junior College and attended The Citadel for 3 1/2 years. He served 8 years in the US military as a medic during WWII and Korea. Mr. Sheriff was an Engineering Project Manager for Cayce Company from 1979-1990. He was a member of the Seventh day Adventist Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: sons, Michael Sheriff of West Columbia, David Sheriff of Columbia, Randy Smith of Gresham, Wally Smith of Charleston; daughter, Debby Bosley of Effingham, SC seven grandchildren and a brother Roy Sheriff of Tacoma, WA.
