Wade Theodore Tolin, 81, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at his residence.  Wade was born in Conway, SC, a son of the late Jake Cullen and Ella Estelle Parrish Tolin.  He was a 1956 graduate of Winyah H.S. and received his Bachelor's degree in 1966 from Clemson University.  Wade served in the Army National Guard for ten years and worked as a forester with Koppers and Hanson companies.  He later worked as an independent contractor, forming Tolin Forestry Service.  He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church.  Wade loved working in the yard, camping and fishing and was known for his insatiable sense of humor.  His greatest joy in life was his family, especially attending all his grandchildren's activities.  He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by a grandson, Jeffrey Fisher and two brothers, Robert Timothy "Buddy" Tolin and Charles Tolin.  He is survived by his loving wife of almost 61 years, Carol Jean Moore Tolin; 3 children, Debbie Tolin (Robert) Fisher, Tim Tolin and Amy Tolin; 3 grandchildren, Jeremy and Colby Tolin and Julie Fisher; a sister, Louise Mateja; a sister-in-law, Yvonne Starr; a number of nieces and nephews; and his 7 beloved furry companions.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home with burial following at Florence Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm just prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of his late grandson, Jeffrey Fisher, to the Fishstrong Foundation, 3100 Freedom Way, Hubert, NC 28539.
