Vonnie Driggers Leigh, 82, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 at MUSC Health Florence Center.  She was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late Ossie Bingley and Vonnie Viola Barnhill Stone.  Vonnie worked for many years as a hostess for Sea Captain in Myrtle Beach.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially the little ones.

She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by a daughter, Ann Driggers, a sister, Mary Welch, and three brothers, Ben, Bully, and Raymond Stone.

Surviving is her loving husband, Lloyd Dewon Leigh; a son, Terry (Kathy) Driggers; two twin step-daughters, Marlene (Fred) Preston and Darlene Wilson; two grandsons, Ricky (Allison) Driggers and Eric (Kellie) Driggers; three step-grandchildren, Andrew Wilson, Carol Ann (Sam) Freidet and Curtis Michael Preston; 8 great grandchildren, Mitchel, Chase, Colby, Kelton, and Kelsie Driggers, Brooke Ard, Lynn and Taylor Pruitt; five step-great grandchildren, Marlee and Elias Preston, Arina and Rylan Wilson and Lily Evans-Wilson; two sisters, Chris Rabon and Geraldine Kiker and a sister-in-law, Ruth Stone; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3-6 PM on Saturday. November 2, 2019 at 2301 Lakeview Drive, Florence, SC 29505.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
