Veronica Gayle Richard Batin, 45, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019, at McLeod Medical Center.  She was born in Trenton, NJ, a daughter of the late JoAnn Richard.

Veronica was active in her community and loved her pets and plants.  She loved to cook.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Brooks; daughter, Tysha Morris; son, James Inez Richard; two sisters, Latrevia Richard and Erzsebet "Ersha" Richard; brother, James C. Richard, Sr.; close friend, Michael Craig; and a number of nieces and nephews.
