A funeral service for Mrs. Verna Mae Larrimore Jordan, widow of Henry Ralph Jordan will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 3, 2008, at Florence Baptist Temple conducted by the Rev. Bill Monroe. The committal will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 2 6-8, at Cain Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to Florence Baptist Temple, 2308 S. Irby St Florence, SC 29505. Mrs. Jordan, 70, of Florence, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008, in a local health care facility after a brief illness. She was born September 20, 1938, in Marion, SC, to the late James Chesley and Vivian Mae Bowen Larrimore, Sr. She was also predeceased by a son; Phillip Jordan, Sr.; brothers; O.A. "Larry" Larrimore, and James "J.C." Larrimore, and a sister Margaret Todd. She was a member of Florence Baptist Temple. Survivors Include: Sons; Ricky (Audrey) Jordan of Timmonsville, SC, and Ralph "Buddy" (Julie) Jordan of Florence, SC; Brother, Alvin (Gertrude) Larrimore of Florence, SC; Sister, Mary (H.B.) Richardson of Conway, SC; Sister-in-Laws, Linda Larrimore of Conway, SC, and Debbie Larrimore of Florence, SC, Daughter-in-Law, Barbara Jordan of Florence, SC; six Grandchildren; and six Great-Grandchildren.
