Velma L. Huson of Naples, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the age of 102.  She was born on May 5, 1923 to J. Coy Hunt and Stella M. Bristow Hunt.  She married Charles A, Huson in 1942.  He preceded her in death.

Surviving is her daughter, Connie (Richard) Steudel of Florence, SC, 3 grandchildren, Rachel (Nathan) Harness, Cody Huson and Daniel Steudel, and 5 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son, Barry Huson.

Prior to moving to Florida, Velma was a long-time resident of Springfield, IL.  She taught China painting and was a lifetime member of Eastern Star.  She is remembered by family and friends as an avid bridge player.

As we honor Velma's wishes, there will be no services planned.  Cain Calcutt Funeral Home is honored to serve the Huson Family.
