Trenice Lane Scales, Jr., 53, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025.  He was born in Bessemer, AL, a son of Trenice Lane Scales, Sr. and the late Linda Riley Siptroth.  In addition to his mother, he is also predeceased by a brother, Chad Scales, and a son-in-law, Bobby Sillsbury.

Trenice enjoyed riding motorcycles and drawing, especially cars.  He loved the outdoors and fishing with his kids, loved his family and traveling.  He enjoyed rock and roll music.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Greene Scales; his father and step-mother, Tammy Farley; five daughters, Chelsea Savannah Scales, Marilyn Brooke Jordan, Meagan Scales, Ashley Sillsbury and Devin Wilkes; a son, Michael Tolson; seven grandchildren, Kaelyn Sillsbury, Emma Sillsbury, Gracelyn Bailey, Logan Jordan, Brayden Baker, Brysen Robinson and Houston Robinson; four sisters, Susanne Scales, Lisa Scales, Ginger Kennedy and Jessica Scales; a brother, Ellis Scales; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A church led memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday March 22,2025 at Unity Christian Fellowship Church, 3652 Olanta Hwy., Timmonsville, S.C. 29161.   A private Celebration of Life will take place at Lynches River State Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
