Obituary

Theo Paulette Escobedo, 83, went to be with the Lord on August 4th, 2025. She was

born to Howard and Henrietta Tucker on July 13, 1942 in Centropolis, Kansas.

Preceded in death are her parents; her husband, Isaias Escobedo; her son, Abram Escobedo (Linda); and her great

granddaughter, Elyse Jeffries.

Surviving are her son, Cuauhtémoc (Maria) Escobedo; daughter, Sarah Beth (Michael)

Richey (Escobedo); daughters-in-law, Linda Escobedo and Maria Escobedo;

grandchildren, Francisco (Morgan) Escobedo, Caleb Escobedo, Diego Escobedo, Antonio (Ka-Yeon)

Escobedo and Isabela Escobedo, Jonathan (Jessa) Richey, Hannah (Jared) Jeffries

(Richey), and Tucker Richey; great-grandchildren, Samuel Richey, Marcelo Escobedo

and James Jeffries; sister, Beth Hinderliter; and numerous cousins, nephews, and

nieces.

She graduated from Ottawa High School in 1960 and then attended Ozark Bible College

in Missouri where she met her future husband, Isaias Escobedo. After they were

married, they became Christian Missionaries in Mexico for five years. They ultimately

settled in Eagle Pass, Texas to raise their three children. Theo worked in the marketing

department for Mall de las Aguilas and later with the Eagle Pass Chamber of

Commerce.

In retirement, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, painting, playing the

piano and watching sports.

She will be remembered for always looking great in her hats, her kind heart, humble

spirit, outstanding cooking, great laugh, and tremendous love of God and family.

Her wish was to be buried in Ottawa. Thus, the family plans to have the funeral there

under the services of Dengel & Son Mortuary - Crematory and buried at Highland

Cemetery. We would also like to thank the wonderful professionals at McLeod Hospital

and McLeod Hospice House for their kind and sympathetic care in these last days. Cain

Calcutt Funeral Home of Florence, SC is honored to serve the Escobedo family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to McLeod Hospice House, 1203 E.
