Terry Derice Ray Burkett, 62, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017. She was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Freddie Ray and Betty Courtney Cornett. She is also predeceased by a nephew, Ryan Stevenson. Darice was a graduate of Francis Marion College and was a Teacher's Assistant at Delmae Elementary School. She was a lifelong child care provider. She is survived by her husband, Maxie W. Burkett; her daughter, Courtney Elizabeth Fike; stepchildren, Mike (Sarah) Burkett, Marty Burkett, Tommy (Josie) Burkett, Eric (Jody) Burkett and Myra (David) McKnitch; sister, Carol S. Powers; brother, Kevin F. Ray; grandchildren, Hunter and Haley; step grandchildren, Forrest Lee, Cameron, Daniel, Rosemary, Braxton, Olivia, Julia, Joshua, Mackenzie, Rhion, Magnolia and Kaylie. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Lamb's Chapel Christian Center. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to the Lamb's Chapel Christian Center.
