Teresa A. "Terry" Ward, 90, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Presbyterian Communities of Florence. Mrs. Ward was born in Orange, NJ, a daughter of the late Robert J. and Teresa Filand Arnot. She was retired from Public Service Electric and Gas Utility, having worked as an Executive Secretary to the VP of Gas Division. Mrs. Ward had a beautiful strong soprano voice and loved to sing. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her loving husband, John M. Ward, a sister, and two brothers. Surviving are her children, Mimi W. (Nat) Van Nortwick of Bellhaven, NC, Lin W. (David) Ziskoski of Florence, SC, Cathy W. (Jim) Centanni, of Jupiter, FL, and David J. (Alice) Ward of Chicago, IL; her loving grandchildren, Nathan (Victoria) Van Nortwick, Matthew Van Nortwick, Jackie Centanni, Chrissy (Otto) Moreno, Jane (David) Carlton, David (Julie) Ward, David (Barbara) Ziskoski, and Battle (Scott) Witherington; several great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and her extended family, Kirstie, John, Madison, and Antonio Kline, Eleanor and Tony Vieira. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6 PM today in the chapel of Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the services until 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11 AM on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will be held at a later date at Florence Memorial Gardens.
