Florence, SC Teddy Wayne Davis Sr., 53, of Florence, S.C., died Sunday, April 20, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness. He was born in Orangeburg, S.C. a son of the late Roy and Sybil Griffin Davis. Teddy was a transmission specialist and small engine repair man! He was well known for his kindness and helpful can fix anything attitude. Teddy has worked hard his whole life for his family and was very thankful for each and every person!! He enjoyed racing, fishing, and sitting around with his family..... His words to the grand kids' will always be known as "Guess what? Poppa Teddy loves you!!" He will always be missed and never forgotten!! Teddy is predeceased by his parents, one brother, Todd Davis and one sister, Linda Riles. He is survived by his wife, Joan Stevenson Davis of the home; two children, Stephanie Lynn Whitaker of Florence, S.C., Teddy Wayne Davis Jr., and his daughter in-law Brittney of Florence, S.C.; three brothers, Donnie Davis, Roy Davis and Billy Davis, all of Florence.; two sisters, Lucy Lynch and Delores Marchant, both of Walterboro, S.C.; five grandchildren, Joe Whitaker III, Joslynn Whitaker, Jala Whitaker, Joya Whitaker, and Ava Davis. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Cain Funeral Home. A memoriall service will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Cain Funeral Home.
