Talbert Lee Clayton, 71, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019.  He was born in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Benjamin and Era Powell Rushing.  He is also predeceased by his wife, Linda Cromer Clayton.  Talbert worked for 30+ years in the press room at Florence Morning News and 10+ years at the Sumter Item.

He is survived by a sister, Bonnie (Joe) Geiger of Columbia and a brother, Keith (Kathy) Rushing of Florence; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
