Sylvia Anne Kirshy, 76, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021.  She was born in Birmingham, AL, a daughter of the late Betty Jean McFerrin Kent.  She worked at Hancock Fabrics and was an accomplished seamstress.  She later worked with her sons at their business, Old South Cabinetry.  She attended Ebenezer Baptist Church and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her four children, William Todd Rhodes, Mitry Michael Kirshy, Jr. (Candy), Joseph Toufic Kirshy and Elizabeth Grace Kirshy; three grandchildren, Joseph Toufic Kirshy, Jr., Mitry Michael Kirshy, III, and Anniston Laurice Kirshy; sister, Kerri Anne Kent Yarborough (Randy); niece, Jennifer Darabaris Stamps (Matt); nephew, David George Darabaris; and two great-nephews, Davis Matthew Stamps and Parker Ryan Stamps.

A church-led memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Ebenezer Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends following the service.  Cremation services are entrusted to Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Florence Area Humane Society.
