Florence, SC Shirley S. Walters, 74, of Florence, SC, died on Sunday, March 13, 2016. Born in Hartsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Aurbia Lee and Dorothy Dollar Wint, Sr. She is also predeceased by her twin son, Donald Shepard, a daughter, Patsy Elizabeth Shepard; her sisters, Alice Faye (James) Jay, Ruth Polson, and a brother, Aurbia Lee Wint., Jr. Shirley graduated with a BA in Business from Limestone College and was retired from ESAB in Florence, SC. She later went on to retire from H & R Block Premium. She also supported the Florence Redwolves and the American Legion Baseball League with her special friend, Bob Berry, where she was famous for her "hotdog chili". She is survived by a twin son, Ronnie Shepard; a daughter, Marsha Walters Bickers; grandchildren, Jay Shepard, Beth Shepard, Anna Shepard and Lindsay Bickers; the apple of her eye, her great grandson, James "J.J." Henry Ardis; sisters, Mary (Jennings) Watkins, Betty (Johnny) Peach, Brenda (William Gainey) Tadlock, all of Hartsville, Sylvia (G.W.) Freeman of Florence, and Dorothy (Jimmy) Tyner of Patrick, SC; and brother, Henry Wint of Hartsville, SC. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Florence Redwolves in honor of Mrs. Walters.
