Shirley "Collette" Richardson, 64, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on January 20, 2024, at the home of her daughter Scarlet. She was born on November 18, 1959, in Florence, to the late George Dargan Mims and Valeria Kirby Mims. She was a resident of Effingham and was a 1978 graduate of South Florence High School. Collette was very outgoing and loved riding horses. Her children and grandchildren were her two biggest passions.

Collette is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Anderson Davis (Michael); son Noah Richardson; daughter Scarlet Richardson Murphy (Richie); an older sister, Donna Leslie; Step-Mother, Myrtle Mims; four grandchildren, Myles, Vivian, Jameson and Lucy; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Family, friends, and others are invited for a memorial service at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 1011 S. Parker Drive, Florence, SC, at 4 pm on Friday, January 26, 2024, to reminisce and honor the life of Collette.  Cain Calcutt Funeral Home is honored to serve the Richardson family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church or the Darlington Humane Society.
