Shirley Blair Daniels, 81, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. Born in Blythewood, SC, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Ada Sherrill Blair. She is also predeceased by her brother, Robert Blair and her sisters, Louise Branham, Marguerite Bouknight, Maude Francis Bouknight and Betty Sites. Shirley has been a member of Southside Baptist Church since 1965 and was a member of the Richburg (Judy Perkins) Sunday school class. She graduated from Blythewood High School and worked for SCE&G before relocating to Florence. She taught in Ebenezer Baptist Church day care for several years. Shirley was a devoted Clemson fan, Go Tigers! She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John E. Daniels; children, John "Jed" Daniels, Jr. of Florence, William (Lisa) Daniels of Acworth, GA, Laura (Charles) Poole of Lamar, and Brent (Stacey) Daniels of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, John Reece (Brittany) Poole and Jarrett Poole of Lamar, Alex, Samantha, Luke and Katey Daniels of Winston-Salem, NC, Summer Daniels, Addison Evans and Tiffany Whitton of Acworth, GA; one great grandchild, Harper Poole of Lamar; and a special friend, Maree Gardner. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 29, 2016, in the chapel of Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 at the funeral home, just prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
