Shelby "Jean" Hooks, 73, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021.   She was born in Florence, a daughter of the late John A. Miller, Jr. and Jessie Revell Miller.  She is also predeceased by her infant brothers, Alvin and Calvin Miller.

Jean dearly loved and adored her daughter, Danelle as well as her loving furbaby, Abby.  She was also very close to her siblings and loved them very much.  She enjoyed playing Bingo and doing crossword puzzles.  Jean was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Surviving is her daughter, Shannon Danelle Hooks (Levon) Rambo of Florence; brother, John Alton Miller "JAM" of Florence; a sister, Angie (Phillip) Hill of Timmonsville; and several close family and church members.

A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 PM on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Grace Baptist Church.
