Sandra Kaye "Katie" Dunlap Velasquez, 32, of Darlington, SC, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. She was born in Lake City, FL, a daughter of Sandra D. Simmons and Clifford Vincent Dunlap (Naomi Marie). She is predeceased by her husband, Eudualdo Velasquez. She worked at Carolinas Hospital System as a Medical Assistant. Katie loved her daughter and her family very much and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her mother, Sandra Simmons; her father and step-mother, Clifford and Naomi Marie Dunlap; daughter, Arabella Rea Velasquez; brother, Brian Scott Dunlap (Jessica); sister, Stacy Marie Lee (Travis); and paternal grandfather, Carl Douglas Dunlap. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund is being established for her daughter, Arabella, c/o Clifford Dunlap. A memorial service directed by the church will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Willow Creek Baptist church. The family will receive friends following the service.
