FLORENCE Samuel Lewis Burley, 65, formerly of Charlotte, NC, went home to be with the Lord January 9, 2010. Sam was born March 8, 1944 in Farmington, PA to the late William Milton Burley, Jr. and Mary Cox Burley. A 1963 graduate of Myers Park High School, he owned and operated Burley Printing Company for 25 years having previously worked at Belk Stores Services in the Printing Department. Sam will be remembered for his quick wit and fascinating story telling ability. Sam is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janice Harvell Burley; two daughters, Karen and her husband, Johnny Rogers, Natalie and her husband, Scott Robertson, all of Darlington, SC.; five grandchildren, Zane, Courtney, Mason and Amber Rogers, Skyler Robertson; great-granddaughter, Katelynn Rogers; two brothers, William M. Burley, III, Richard and his wife, Glenna Burley, all of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Millicent and her husband, Larry Banks, of Ninety Six, SC; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Arminda Olive and his brother, Gerald "Jerry" Burley. A memorial service to celebrate Sam's life will be at 1:00 PM, January 16, 2010 at Lamb's Chapel Christian Center, 3514 Southborough Road, Florence, SC conducted by Rev.
