Sadie Jones Jackson, 84, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.  She was born in Aynor, SC, a daughter of the late William McKinley Jones, Sr. and Mattie Prevatte Weatherford.  In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Weesner and three brothers, William McKinley Jones, Jr., Lonnie Vaught and Radford Jones.

Sadie held a Bachelor's Degree in nursing and worked at McLeod Hospital as an RN in the cardiac unit and at hospice.  She taught echocardiogram classes before they had schools and traveled for teaching as well.  Sadie was a member of Parkwood Presbyterian Church and was an Elder.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society, enjoyed reading, word puzzles, gardening and exercising.  She loved her dogs and cats.

Surviving is her husband, Thomas Jackson; children, Debra Anne Rath (Steven Wayne), Robert Francis McCready, Jr., and Cheryl Lynne McCready; grandchildren, Christina Jade McCready, Robert Edwin McCready and Candace Allyn Owens; sister, Rebekah Westmoreland and brother, Tommy Weatherford.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2022 in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.  A private burial will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery in Darlington, SC.
