Pamplico, SC Ruby Elizabeth Poston, 92, of Pamplico, SC, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at the McLeod Hospice House. She was born August 12, 1922, a daughter of the late Francis Edd Poston and Mary Madalene Poston. She was married to the late Lee Allen "Buster" Poston for fifty five years. She was a homemaker, self-taught hairdresser and cake decorator. Most of all, she loved being outdoors and gardening. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Surviving are her children; Daniel E. (Melba) Poston and Johnny J. (Phyllis) Poston, both of Florence, Gerald (Gloria) Poston and Alice Marie (Maxie) Bazen, both of Pamplico; daughter-in-law, Barbara Powell Poston (Ronnie Price) of Florence; grandchildren, Felicia J. Parker, Annette Poston, Christie (Leigh) Franks, Gerald Scott Poston, Donna Poston Creel (Mark Campbell), Michael Poston (Sandra) Bazen, Beverly Poston Bagwell (Chris Sansbury); great grandchildren, Austin and Bailee Creel, Sidney and Richard Bazen, Samuel and Sierra Parker, Nyah, Maximus, Victor and Cassius Franks; siblings, Blanche Poston, Elendor (Willie Joe) Stone and Peggy (Erroll) Cox of Johnsonville, Edd "Bug" (Mary) Poston, Jr. of Pamplico, Patsy (H.A.) Morris of Florence; sister-in-law, Patricia Pigate Poston of Olanta; special friend, Odessa Poston Greenwood, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Allen "Buster" Poston, two sons, James Allen Poston and Larry Edward Poston and grandson, Bradford Lee Poston; siblings, Eddie Eugene (Lula Mae) Poston, Thomas Eli (Margaret) Poston, Bessie Lee (Lester) Stone, Rebecca (Jim) Richardson, Betty "Lib" Poston Prosser and Harry Joel Poston, brother-in-law, Samuel Jerry Poston, and her step-mother, Rhoda Richardson Poston. A memorial service, directed by Cain Funeral Home, will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 27, 2015, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 3630 Bay Road, Pamplico, SC. A private burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the church, prior to the service.
