Florence, SC Roy D. Rogers, 66, of Florence, SC, went home to be with the Lord on September 6, 2013, after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Willie Joe and Annie Renn Morris Rogers. Roy is survived by the love of his life, Judy Melville, his very loving friend and caregiver, till the end; 2 sisters, Elloree (Dexter) Hartfield, Carol Jean (Miller) Lindler; many nieces and nephews; and 2 children that he thought of as his very own, Chris Ann (Tommy) Ruthven and Bobby (Wendy) Melville; and 1 granddaughter, Angel Melville. Roy was a part of Emmanuel Ministries, which he loved, and he was loved by all. He will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be conducted by Pastors Clifton and Rita Stubbs of Emmanuel Ministries on Monday, September 9, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Florence Memorial Gardens, directed by Cain Funeral Home. Visitation will be directly following the service, at the graveside.
