A funeral service for Rosa Lee Bradford Johnson, widow of John Harper Johnson, Sr. will be at 3:00PM Wednesday July 22, 2009 in Cain Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Ben Maynard and Rev. Gary Harrelson. Interment will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 1:00-2:45PM, at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson, 90, died Monday July 20, 2009. She was born, Aug. 29, 1918 in Sumter, SC, to the late James Cain and Ethel Mood Bradford. She was also predeceased by sisters, Ethel Fields of Port St. Lucie, FL and Marcella Geddings and Eula Mae Turner both of Sumter. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and Willing Workers Sunday School Class No. 3. She worked in nursing for Toumey Hospital, Sumter, Ocean View Hospital, Myrtle Beach, Georgetown Hospital, McLeod Hospital and retired from Bruce Hospital. She was always willing to serve others. She loved eating out, country music, travel, and most of all loved the Lord Jesus and her children. Surviving are: sons, James Phillip Johnson of North Myrtle Beach and John H. (Betty Seymour) Johnson Jr. of Florence; daughter, Sandra Lee (William) Leach of Florence; grandchildren, Sherrie (John) Dean and William N. (Cynthia) Leach II both of Florence, Debbie (Thomas) Baker of Greer, Allison (Brian) Wolf of Myrtle Beach and Jonathan C. Leach of Columbia; great grandchildren, Rhys Alexander and Ravyn Alexandria Miles, William B., David C., and McKinlee H. Leach, Falcon T. and Zoe A. Baker; sister Dorothy Geddings of Sumter and special friend and neighbor, Faye Richardson.
