Ronnie Kenneth Abbott, 69, of Florence, S.C., formerly of Conway, S.C., died Friday, September 16, 2016 at Carolinas Hospital System. He was born in Conway, S.C., son of the late James Rufus and Grace Clary Abbott. Ronnie proudly served his county in the United States Army. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Miller of Lane, S.C.; one step-daughter, Linda Shipp of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a grandson, Austin Miller of Florence, S.C.; a granddaughter, Mindi Joye of North Charleston; a step-grandson, Sam Shipp of Spartanburg; one sister, Marie (Leon) Brandon of Hampton, VA; a brother-in-law, Buddy Brigman; a special friend, Emily Register of Florence, S.C.; 12 nephews and 4 nieces. He is predeceased by his parents, three sisters, Ada Sarvis, Betty Mishoe and Annie M. Lane Brigman; two brothers, James and R.J. Abbott. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 12:30 P.M. at Crusade for Christ Mission in Florence, S.C. The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M till 12:30 P.M. prior to the service.
