Robert Lee Underwood, Jr., 49, of Florence, formerly of Pamplico, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach.  He was born in Toledo, OH, a son of Dianne Ross Underwood Butler and the late Robert Lee Underwood, Sr.  He is also predeceased by his brother, Carl Preston Underwood and his step-father, David George Butler.

Robert was an accomplished transmission mechanic who was formerly employed by A&A Transmissions in Florence and Surfside.

He is survived by his mother; three sons, Joshua Paul Underwood, Jacob Ryan Underwood and Jason Carl Underwood; five grandchildren and a host of other special extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 PM on Monday, June 17, 2019, at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.
