A visitation for Robert Allen Nelson, will be Friday, September 12 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the residence of Mark Nelson 1773 Woods Drive, Florence, SC 29501. The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, c/o Executive Director Alzheimer's Disease Research Center Washington University School of Medicine -- Campus Box 8111, 4488 Forest Park Blvd., Suite 130 St. Louis, MO 63108. Mr. Nelson, 72, of Florence, died Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at his residence after an illness. He was born June 28, 1936, in Lawrence, Pennsylvania, to the late Thomas Nelson and the late Opal Snider. He was predeceased by his wife Virginia Tusin, and a sister Bonnie Alder. Among his survivors are: sons; Mark Nelson, of Florence, Scott (Julie) Nelson of Florence, Brian (Mary) Nelson of Oak Harbor, WA, daughter; Cindy Nelson of Florence, Sister, Gail Hink of New Castle, PA, and 4 Grandchildren.
