Robert Ira Gaskins, 72, of Timmonsville, SC, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at his residence.  He was born in Lake City, SC, the son of the late Jack William and Margaret Wylma Baker Gaskins.  He is also predeceased by his wife, Wilma Rhea Gaskins and a son, Robert Ira Gaskins, Jr.

Robert served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  He loved fishing, hunting and his family.

He is survived by a daughter, Thetis Elizabeth Gaskins; a son, James Otha Gaskins; granddaughter, Courtney Abraham; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
