Robert "Bob" Webb Brown, 72, from Florence, SC, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 14, 2012. Bob was born in Georgetown, South Carolina, the son of the late Roy Harold Brown, Sr. and Edna Flowers Brown. Bob was a class of 1959 graduate of Hartsville High School and he attended Clemson University. He made his livelihood in pharmaceutical sales with Winthrop Laboratories prior to forming Apple Construction Company in Florence, South Carolina. While living in Darlington, South Carolina, he served as President of Darlington County Jaycees, was active in the First Presbyterian Church of Darlington, and volunteered at the First Presbyterian Church Youth Camp. Bob was a true pet lover and gave a loving home to the many dogs he rescued through the years. Bob is survived by his son, Randal M. Brown, granddaughter Randi Lynn Brown Adams, and great granddaughter Ashlyn Taylor Adams; by his brother Roy H. Brown Jr., and sisters Susan Brown Claxton, and Carolyn Brown Whiting; Bob also leaves behind eight nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at 11 o'clock AM at Black Creek Cemetery on North Governor Williams Hwy (Hwy 52/401).
