Ricky Joseph Blackwell, 62, of Florence, passed away at his residence.

Ricky was born in Florence, SC a son of the late Joseph and Gretchen Driggers Blackwell. He was employed for a number of years with Wellman, Inc. and also with Polyquest until he was forced to retire due to his declining health.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his nephew, Corey Perritte.

He is survived by his sister, Wendy Perritte; his former wife and very special friend, Mary Ann Blackwell; his niece, Brandy (Dre’) Thomas; great-niece, Raven Thomas; great-nephew, Quinton Hankins and great-great-nephew, Zymir Hankins.
