Richard Laurence Lamb, 81, of Florence, husband of Christine “Tina” Worlock-Lamb, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at his home.
Richard Laurence Lamb was born on April 15, 1945, in Los Angeles, California, to the late Velda Virginia and the late Eddie Laurence Lamb.
Richard was a loving, devoted, dedicated husband to the love of his life, Tina, for 39 years. Richard was full of humor and was known for his quick wit and his astute personality. He resided in Florence for the last 26 years and was a member of All Saints Anglican Church in Florence, SC. Richard served as Senior Warden of All Saints for several years. Richard was a graduate of University of North Carolina Greensboro, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. During the Vietnam years, Richard served as a photographer for the United States Navy. In his later years, Richard was employed in management of retail and grocery sales and enjoyed spending time at the Happiest Place on Earth, as he was an avid fan of Walt Disney World.
Richard is survived by his adoring wife, Christine Worlock-Lamb; two sons, John Thomas (Nanette) Lamb and David (Jan) Laurence Snipes; five grandchildren, Helen (William) Lamb Devlin, John Thomas Lamb, Jr., Gabriel David Lamb, Noah James Lamb, and Gwen Richard; one great grandson, William Devlin; sister-in-law Debbie Endsley; two nieces, Gabby Endsley and Alex (Shawn) Endsley-Volheim; and one great nephew, Howie Volheim.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Laurence and Velda Virginia Lamb, and two brothers, Michael Murphy and Eddie Lamb.
Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but especially by his family and friends.
