A memorial service with military honors for Major Richard Fay Hazard (USAF Retired), husband of Connie B. Hazard, will be at 11:00AM Friday, August 29, 2008 at Creekside at South End of Pawley's Island. Mr. Hazard, died Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at McLeod Hospice House. He was born January 4, 1930, in Syracuse, NY, to the late William and Dorethea Fay Hazard. He was a graduate of University of Arkansas and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Major Hazard retired from the United States Air Force in 1976 after serving for 22 years.. He was an inspiration to all as he fought Parkinson's Disease with honor and faith. He will be dearly missed. Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife of 55 years, are: daughters, Ginny Cook of Cleveland, GA and Lynda Browning of Florence; brother, William Hazard of Syracuse, NY; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
