Richard Lewis Curtis, 80, of Florence, S.C., died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence. He was born in Fulton, New York a son of the late Stanley Ashbel Curtis and Nellie Maude Curtis. He was loved by many dear friends. Mr. Curtis is predeceased by his parents, his wife of 60 years, Nannette Curtis who passed away in 2012; three sisters, two sons, and one grandson. He is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Slemmer of Florence, S.C.; Diane Dunlap and Karen Moreno, both of Charleston, S.C.; Nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. A private service will be held at a later date.
