It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Randall "Randy" Carlyle Welch, who left this world peacefully on January 3, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on December 14, 1951, in Florence County, South Carolina to Glennie Preston Welch and Frances Anderson Welch, Randall was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a longtime member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where he found community and strength among fellow worshippers, contributing to the church's mission with his unwavering faith and service. Randy was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Clifford Welch, Jean McKenzie, Dean Welch, Lanier Welch, Gayle Britt; and a granddaughter, Maelyn Dawn Rodriguez. He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda McKay Welch; his son, Kevin Welch, and daughter-in-law, Kayla Welch; his daughter, Kimberly Rodriguez, and son-in-law, David Rodriguez; and his treasured grandchildren, Shelley, Anna Reagan, Maeley, Callie, and Caiden. Randall is also survived by his brothers Bobby Welch and Gerald Welch, along with their respective spouses, Jeanette and Joyce; and his sister, Linda Matthews, and brother-in-law, LaVon Matthews. They, alongside many other family members and friends, will carry his memory and legacy forward. A graveside service in honor of Randy will take place on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery, located at 3320 South Cashua Drive, Florence, SC 29501. Services are being directed by Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home. All are welcome to join in commemorating a life well-lived, filled with love and devotion to family and community. Randy Welch will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved him.
