Ralph Jerry Orcutt, 70, of Florence, S.C., died Friday, January 4, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Geneva, OH, a son of the late Lawrence Ralph and Louella Hudson Orcutt. Jerry was a graduate of Brooklyn Cayce High School in Columbia, South Carolina in 1960 and then attended the University of South Carolina until he joined the United States Navy in 1962. He was honorably discharged from the Navy reserves in 1968. He was employed by Union Carbide in 1966 and left ESAB in 1998 where he worked as a Master Scheduler and Planner. He is predeceased by his parents and his son Christopher Scott Orcutt. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Ann Orcutt, his sisters, Marion O. Hubbard of Spartanburg, Debbie Filyaw of Florence, and a brother, Jerome D. Holland Jr. of Florence. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
