Phyllis J. Fusco, 90, formerly of Punxsutawney, PA, died Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Southland Health Care in Florence. Born May 6, 1925, in Omaha, Nebraska, she was a daughter of the late Berley V. Saunders Hall Larson and Paul R. Hewitt. On April 17, 1947, she married William G. "Bill" Fusco, who preceded her in death on October 2, 2013. She was a housewife and a former Rola-Jenson employee. Surviving are relatives including a son, William Nicholas Fusco and his wife Andrea of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren, Benjamin Fusco and wife Kim of Baltimore, MD, and Jessica Allen and husband Jason of Florence, SC; four great grandchildren, Isabella, Elisabeth, and Matthew Allen, and Caroline Fusco. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Fusco. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 6, 2015, at Calvary Cemetery in Punxsutawney, PA., directed by Deeley Funeral Home. The family was assisted locally by Cain-Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home in Florence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Mrs. Fusco's memory, to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
