Pauline June "Polly" House Lenhart, 83, of Florence, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 in Florence, SC. She was born April 13, 1929 in Johnson City, NY to the late Wendell L. and Alice Mae Van Winkle House. Polly was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Master Works Choir, Invesisters, Friends of the Library, Research Club and the Symphony Guild. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels and AARP Tax Aide Program. She was a retired teacher and had been employed with Stein Mart. Survivors include: daughter - Jennifer (Jerome) Chester of Seminole, FL; son - Stephen (Liza) Lenhart of London, England; grandchild - Jordan Chester; best friend - Bill Ege of Florence; brother - Richard (Verlie) House of Lafayette, LA; sisters - Ester (Roland) Allen and Mildred (Robert) Rhoades both of Seven Lakes, NC. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 29, 2012, at Central United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow at Florence National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 6:00 -8:00 pm at Cain Funeral Home.
