There will be a private service for Nellie Shumaker Lott, widow of Frank Norris Lott, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM, Monday, December 22, at Cain Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to Florence County Humane Society, 1007 Stockade Rd., Florence, SC 29506. Mrs. Lott, 92, died Friday, December 19, 2008, at her residence. She was born July 29, 1916, in Iredell County, NC, to the late Robert and Gladys Myers Shumaker. She was a member of Taylor Springs Baptist Church, New Hope, NC. and had been employed as an Inspector by Burroughs Corp. in Detroit, MI. Surviving, are: daughter Melinda Lott, of Florence; sister, Bobbie Tracey of Richmond, VA; and brother, Lee Shumaker of Statesville, NC.
