A funeral service for Nellie Olivia Hyman Harrell, widow of Coye Harrell, will be at Noon, Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Elim Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Ken Moore. Interment in Mt. Elon FreeWill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 11:00-12:00, in the Moore Center of Elim Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Joy Club at Elim Baptist Church, 1303 Olanta Hwy., Effingham, SC 29541. Mrs. Harrell, 94, died Thursday, December 11, 2008, in Heritage Home of Florence. She was born December 2, 1914, in Pamplico, SC, to the late Leo W. and Pearl Jones Hyman. Mrs. Harrell was a long time member and operated the Day Care of First Baptist Church of North Charleston. After moving to Florence, she became a member of Elim Baptist Church. Surviving, are: daughters, Judie Thornal of Florence, Donna (Nigel) Thornal of London, England, and Alison (Dwight) Santiago of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Emerson, Andrew and Alexandra Santiago and Pippa and Nikki Byron of London England; sisters, Frances Hyman of Leesville, SC, Elsie Cox and Helena Sandy both of Effingham, SC; and brother, Lewis Hyman of Lugoff, SC.
