Florence, SC Myrtle Elizabeth Reid Brown, 95, of Florence, SC, died on Monday, August 17, 2015. She was born in Florence, SC, a daughter of the late Frank Reid and Wilhelmina Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Brown, Sr.; a daughter, Gheri Daniels; three brothers, James Richardson, Edward Hamlin and Henry Hamlin; and one sister, Henrietta Whitley. She is survived by two sons, John J. (Jestine) Brown, Jr. of Demopolis, AL, and Frank E. (Carole) Brown of Long Branch, NJ; four daughters, Natalie Gallego of Sunnyvale, CA, Gloria (Marvin) Russell, Ruth (Clarence) Dean, and Jo Ann (Jerome) Thomas, all of Florence; one brother, Jerome (Kathy) Hamlin and one sister, Ernestine Juett, both of Long Branch, NJ; thirteen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Cain-Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home on Saturday, August 22, 2015. Funeral services will be held August 22, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Alligator Road. A private burial will take place at Florence Memorial Gardens.
