Myrtle M. Coker, 69, of Florence, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026, after an illness.

Myrtle was a daughter of the late Henry Eugene Coker and Myrtle Lee Gaymon Coker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Martha C. Ard and Virginia Marie C. Watkins; her brother, Johnny Ray Coker; and her nanny, Rosalee C. Kemmerlin.

She was previously employed with Michele Dahl Sturkie of Sturkie Law for over 22 years and had recently been employed with Smith Ammons Law Firm. She was a member of the Pee Dee APA, was an avid reader and a die-hard Atlanta Braves and USC Gamecock fan.

She is survived by her son, Logan M. Coker; her sister, Mary C. Matthews; two brothers, James “Jim” Henry (Shelby) Coker and Joseph Allen (Johnette) Coker; sister-in-law, Linda Coker; numerous nieces and nephews, and her fur baby, Sophie.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jane Boswell Animal Shelter, Pee Dee Coalition against Domestic and Sexual Abuse, or a charity of one’s choice.
